Ag Against Hunger

ag against hunger logoAg Against Hunger is now a core program of the Grower-Shipper Association Foundation

Ag Against Hunger is a community-based program that organizes and partners with local growers and shippers to bring the community together, and further Ag Education and Childhood Nutrition by gleaning surplus fruits and vegetables and distributing them to our food banks locally in the Tri County area of the Central Coast.

We are thrilled to have Ag Against Hunger as part of our family of innovative programs. Alicia Cask will continue to serve as the Program Director. She will continue to coordinate local gleaning and other fresh produce outreach opportunities.

Ag Against Hunger, in conjunction with GSAF, will continue to host their popular Ag Women of the Year luncheon as well as the entertaining ag industry mascot race at the California Rodeo. Several Ag Against Hunger Board members will continue to serve on the Ag Against Hunger committee within the Foundation.
